The JoJo's Bizarre Coloring Book is an upcoming for-profit fanzine. There will be two editions of this zine:

About the JoJo's Bizarre Coloring Book: Daylight Edition
All who apply for this edition must be at least 16+ by the time applications close.
This edition will feature characters from all eight parts of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
The theme for the Standard Edition is Day to Day Life.
About the JoJo's Bizarre Coloring Book: After Dark Edition (18+)
All who apply for this edition must be at least 18+ by the time applications close.
This edition will only feature characters from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure part five.
The theme for the After Dark Edition is burlesque/pinup.
All characters featured in this edition will be depicted as 18+
For Page Artists
Page artists will submit a lineart or inked piece without color.
Submitted pieces must be formatted to 300 DPI and measure to 8.5 x 11 inches.
For Merch Artists
For Merch Pieces containing colors, artists will submit both a CMYK and RGB version of their piece.
The CMYK file can be a tiff, psd, or pdf. The RGB should be a png or jpg
Submitted pieces must be formatted to 300 DPI. Specific sizing for each piece will vary depending on the type of merch you are assigned.

What is a Zine?
Zines are small-circulation self-published works of original texts and/or images. Zines are often created by either a single person or a small group of people working together.
What is the Coloring Book rating?
We will be creating two separate coloring books and each book has a different rating:
The JoJo's Bizarre Coloring Book: Daylight Edition is rated PG-13
The JoJo's Bizarre Coloring Book: After Dark Edition is rated 18+
Are there any age requirements?
For the Daylight Edition, all contributors must be 16+ by the time applications close.
For the After Dark Edition, all contributors must be 18+ by the time applications close.
Is this Coloring Book for-profit or for-charity?
This is intended to be a for-profit Zine meaning that after covering the cost of producing the zines and the merch any additional profits made will be distributed evenly amongst the mods and contributors.
Do you accept traditional art?
Traditional art is welcome! However, you must be able to provide a high-quality scan
Which JoJo Parts will be included?
The JoJo's Bizarre Coloring Book: Daylight Edition will feature characters from all eight parts of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
The JoJo's Bizarre Coloring Book: After Dark Edition will only feature characters from part five of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. All characters in this edition will be depicted as 18+.
How do I get the Zine?
The zine will be available for purchase during our pre-order period which is projected to be in July 2021
FOR APPLICANTS
Can anyone apply to be a contributor?
For the Daylight Edition applicants must be at least 16 by the time applications close
For the After Dark Edition applicants must be at least 18 by the time applications close
How many contributors is the zine planning to feature?
The zine plans to feature 60 total page artists
~ 30 page artists for the Daylight Edition
~ 30 page artists for the After Dark Edition
Additionally, we also plan to feature 18 total merch artists
~ 9 merch artists for the Daylight Edition
~ 9 merch artists for the After Dark Edition
(Page and Merch roles can potentially overlap)
Can I apply as both a page artist and a merch artist?
Yes, you are welcome to apply for both roles. You must submit an application for both roles and can use different art samples for each application. However, applying as both a page artist and a merch artist does not guarantee that you will be accepted as both.
What are the application requirements?
Page Artists will be required to link three pieces of art.
At least one piece must feature a character from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and at least one must be a lineart or ink only piece but more than one is recommended.
Artist applications will be evaluated based on general knowledge of fundamentals such as anatomy, composition, and clean lineart, as well as creativity and originality.
Merch Artist will be required to link three samples of their artwork.
At least one piece must feature a character from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
These submissions do not need to include a lineart only piece. If you have previously produced merch pieces, you are welcome to include these in your application.
Merch applications will be evaluated based on style, color, composition, creativity, and appeal.
Can I apply if I've never done a zine before?
Absolutely! Past zine experience will not play any part in the decision-making process. Artists who have no zine experience are just as valid as those who do!
How will I know if my application was approved? Will only those selected as contributors get notified?
Don't worry, all applicants will receive an email, regardless of whether they have been accepted as contributors.
Please Note: If the mod team is unable to view/ access your samples/ portfolio/ drive folder we will not review your application any further! Be sure to check that your links work before submitting your applications!

Ally Cat is proudly hosting this project-- they are a 23-year-old artist and writer based out of the United States, and this is their second time hosting a JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure zine. In the past, they have created over a dozen personal zines, and have organized two DIY arts events during their time at college. Until it’s safe to have conventions again, Ally intends to work on building their portfolio with creative and unique projects like this one!

Leliel is a professional graphic designer by day, fandom gremlin by night. She brings more than a decade of fan organizing experience to the zine, having participated in Artist Alleys as a hobbyist illustrator since 2003, and participating in nine zine projects to date across different fandoms, five of them as a mod. This is her fifth time participating in a JJBA zine, and she can’t wait to have fun coloring everyone’s wonderful works!

Xan is a 25 year old Mexican artist who has an immense love for fashion, music, tea, and creating art. When not creating art they can be found jamming to Siouxsie and the Banshees while watching haute couture fashion shows for inspiration. They enjoy drawing JJBA characters wearing stylish outfits. This is their first time modding and second time working in a zine. They are ecstatic to be a part of this zine and are excited about coloring everyone’s work!

Mystic is a 23-year-old artist who loves participating in and running various fan events and zines. In her free time, she can often be found drawing Yuri on Ice and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure art or showering her cat with love. This will be the tenth zine Mystic has participated in and her third as a moderator. She is super excited to be apart of such a unique project and can't wait to see what everyone creates!
